Drink to Health

Pure Inventions: One of my best friend's mom invented the greatest thing ever: Green Tea drops. This means you can take it on the go. All you do is add it to your water. I like to add lemon or even use it with vodka! There are so many health benefits of green tea and I am just obsessed with it.

Mix & Match

I love combining many different types of pieces: casual with leather, making a daytime outfit into a cocktail party outfit, wearing a tee as a dress, dressing up a tee...the list goes on...clothes are so versatile and you really can take things out of your closet and mix & match. There are endless possibilities- just use your imagination...

Last night, Ashley Olsen attended the Everywhere At Once Cocktail Party in NYC hosted by Harper's Bazaar. She not only showed up with a smile, but in a casual dark grey cashmere sweater with a leather mini paired with Balenciaga gladiator sandals (not sure I love those).

Must have: Theory tanks!

Fashion Photography Art

Besides fashion just being visually beautiful. Some of the photography skills are the best I have ever seen. Especially in European fashion and the first three photos from various European Vogue are amazing.

Leggy

As the weather heats up, it's time to put away the leggings (at least during the day) and bring out those mini shorts. I like how today outside an LA nail salon, Lohan makes her long tank look like a dress, while just a peek of her little jean shorts show.

And Zoe Kravitz, at the after-party for Tennessee hosted by Cadillac at Tenjuge lounge during the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday in New York CityCheck Spelling, shows some leg.

Model Behavior

Fashion icon, Kate Moss. Vintage Moss and current Moss- always likeable.

"People think your success is just a matter of having a pretty face. But it's easy to be chewed up and spat out. You've got to stay ahead of the game to be able to stay in it."

"What people say isn't going to stop me. I have to do things for myself."

"All of a sudden I was living what is perceived to be the model life. It was just full-on, 24 hours a day. It was work all the time. And there's always a party to go to."

"It's a sin to be tired."

Erin Wasson

Erin Wasson, Texan native, won the Kim Dawson model search in 99 and hit the Paris and Milan runways by September 2000. She has appeared on numerous magazine covers such as French Vogue, Allure and Esquire. She is the face for Karl Lagerfeld's H&M line and has signed a contract with Maybelline. She is so naturally chic.

“I have too much going on in my brain to just be a face, an image, without a voice behind it.” (Elle Feb. 08)

Cut It Out

These seasons swimwear changes it up. Even though this style covers up more, it definitely adds some more sex appeal. Bikini-style cutouts and a deep plunge keyhole neckline take over the bikini fashion this season. Cameron Dias sports this style on the the cover of GQ. There are a variety of different variations of this look and Victoria's Secret has a few of my favorites. This one Very Sexy® Bamboo ring one-piece monokini is only $60 and comes in black, red & white.

Dirty Hair Never Looked So Good...

Celebrities such as Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and MK & A Olsen, make bed hair look so good. It is messy, but shows a relaxed sense of style. It feels beachy/bohemian because the light waves you get from a good nights sleep could not be put together with style products or curling irons. It oh natural. And this picture of A Olsen in a navy vest (worn as a shirt) paired with black skinny and of course a black Birkin bag (I still lush over)...Her bed hair shows that it took her minutes to get out the door. She is laid back, but still fashion icon.

Bold Nail Polish

Although I am true to my black or dark purple nail polish, I do have a weakness for bright pink. I love how vibrant MAC's colors are and they look great with some vintage tees/ 80s tees.

Colors featured in the Heatherette Collection include Lola Devine and $$$$$ Yes.Colors featured in the Fafi Collection include Boom! and Girls Will Be Girls.

Earth Day

Fashionistas, today is Earth Day and all the press on Going Green has made me want to change some of my ways. Not only are these products good for the Earth, some tend to be less expensive and healthier for you. J brand has launched a new denim line, "Green Label." Style does not suffer with being Earth friendly. J brand has sticked to their brand's look, just made it ecofriendly. Two of the must have styles by J brand are Monroe and the killer Love Story. Tips from J brand http://www.jbrandjeans.com/greenlabel.html. And Toms Shoes ($35) are of course one of my favorites and helping save children in poverty. Also organic food is great! They taste better and no chemicals- thank you! Check out Whole Foods for some yummy organic specialities. My friend started this website Greendeavor.com. You can do all your shopping online, while being ecofriendly. You get rewards for shopping green.

Some Beauty Products:

-Alba, an Avalon Organics company: From haircare to shaving needs and more, is committed to help preserve and heal the planet. Besides being earth friendly, their shampoos and conditioners are really inexpensive ($10). http://www.albabotanica.com/

-Organic Expressions: Preventing and reversing environmental and cellular damage (works for all skin types). Still going green and saving money! This skincare line is great for your complexion and starts at $16! http://www.dermae.net/

According to the March issue of O magazine, "A key factor in environmental style is raw materials, organically produced traditional crops; versatile fibers like bamboo, hemp and soybean; and fabrics cooked up out of everything from recycled plastic to seaweed. Weaving, quilting, and other time-honored handicrafts with links to indigenous cultures put a personal stamp on garments. And although organic style is usually associated with a natural, beige to brown palette, the development of plant based, non-toxic dyes has ushered in a Technicolor new age, another reason that today's green clothing looks less like whole green cereal and more like fashion."

Be a conscious shopper and don't feel guilty about these great new purchases. Happy Earth Day!

Tee Love

Vintage big tees or just a plain V neck tee are always great to have in your closet. I live in them.

SoyDelicious

Usually when I hear "Bolthouse"- I think event planning. However, Bolthouse Farms has the most amazing drink/Great snack. My favorite is their Soy Vanilla Chi Latte. You can find their products in speciality grocery stores like WholeFoods. Reader Advisory: It is so addicting!

Gossip Girl's

Based on Upper East Side style, Gossip Girl's bring flare to the usual straight-edge style. It is similar to Sex & The City style, but more wearable and for girls in their 20s. Blake Lively channels preppy chic with an edge on and off the show.

Liquid Love

Things that are okay to be addicted to. Few of my favorites: Black iced coffee with mocha at the bottom, Sugarfree Redbull, and Tab. Dunkin Donuts has my favorite iced coffee! Then obvi Coffee Bean and Starbucks. Simple pleasures for my favorite caffeine fix.

It Girl- Ashley Olsen

The Olsen twins are definitely style icons, but they get a lot of bad press on some of their outfits. Fashion is about taking risks, and yes some of their looks are a little bizarre. I personally really love Ashley's style. She has that sexy bed hair, XL cashmere sweater paired with loose fitted shorts or ultra skinny jeans to show off her pin-thin legs, extremely high heels or vans/converse. She adds big sunglasses, vintage jewelry, a guy's Rolex, huge tote and of course her signature Venti Starbucks coffee. The Olsen's definitely can take credit for the just out of bed chic. I'm totally in awe of the Olsen's style. Ashley O is undeniably chic.

"Olsen’s demure gaze and pouty lips coupled with a trendy-yet-sophisticated sense of style leads to regular appearances in the glossies. And her penchant for club-owner boyfriends and semi-regular club-hopping results in a constant horde of paparazzi documenting her every move. But between fashion shows, coffee runs, and NYU classes, this petite blonde still has time to oversee her multimillion-dollar company, Dualstar Entertainment. Ms. Olsen is living proof that good things often come in small (and oh-so-stylish) packages." -Tracy Anderson

Skyscraper YSL

Not only do I lush over the YSL Large Muse bag, but the YSL pumps that are like skyscrapers and make your legs seem to go on for days. This season goes for 4-6inch heels, when 3 1/2 inches used to be considered high heels. At times I feel like shoes this high are a little stripperish, but paired with the right sense of style they are fabulous. They are so gloriously high! So this seasons' must haves do come at a pricey cost $660. For Victoria Beckham, Ashlee Simpson, Heidi Klum, etc. these are a must have and why not?!? They are fabulous! But if you can't splurge on $660, go for the Jessica Simpson versions.

Sneaker Nation

So go ahead and slip them on!

Slip it On

Flats are great, but my new obsessions are vans, converse and toms. This California trend makes sneakers now pass dress codes just as jeans did a few years ago. Comfy and fashionable! And what I like about Toms is that when you buy his sneakers it goes to a good cause (saving children in poverty).http://www.tomsshoes.com/
